yes almost exactly the same.., basically... turnip equals small and delicate and white; swede equals large and rough and yellow.Looks kinda like a turnip Holly.....taste like one ?

yes it does.. it has a bright orange flesh and very nice mashed.. and much less fibrous than the turnip which has white flesh... I believe your rutabaga has yellow fleshI bet it mashes up and will accept a pat of butter....
