What's for dinner ( or lunch )

No, not coming down with anything, just took a fall in the shower and bruised my tail bone. Just pain from the fall, doc says it will take a few weeks for it to get better.
Oh yes, I knew you fell.... so sorry about that. I was thinking your post meant something different.

Not much would kill my appetite unless upset stomach or a cold. I could eat after falling down a flight of stairs! :ROFLMAO:

No, I am the same way (maybe) Just not having fun standing for a period right now, just had a shower and I did not even think about using that chair that got me the other day LOL

Am about to make a lentil stew/soup with garlic, onions, carrots, celery, curry, vegetable broth and (revealing my secret ingredient) a big can of green enchilada sauce. So tasty. Drizzle with a little lemon juice when serving. Thinking a tray of cornbread will go alongside nicely, especially since rain is coming overnight and will be with us through Monday afternoon.

I made a Toad-in-the-hole.. and being as I was having to use the oven and not the air fryer, I felt that to offset the high cost I would cook some other things at the same time for dinner tomorrow.. including Broccoli tots..and ready made Kentucky fried chicken style nuggets..( the latter of which I've never had before)

While I was waiting for the Toad to finish cooking.. and the chicken was ready I took a little bite... OMG !!😮😲😧 It was like biting into a red hot Scotch Bonnet pepper.. Jeez.. my mouth was on fire. That wasn't KFC style .....that was just chicken coated in Chilli pepper Coating... arrrgghh!!... Threw them all out...

I often make a healthy homemade pizza but sometimes my husband wants a "real" pizza. That means takeout. :)

When grandson was young we made homemade pizza together. He would be up on his little stool, I would measure the ingredients for the dough. He got to put it in the mixer and push the buttons. When the time was right, he helped spread/stretch the dough. He put on the pizza sauce I made. He loves adding the toppings. Of course, at that age he just wanted pepperoni. He would do that on his portion but then all the things the grown ups like on the rest. Now he is all about ordering out pizza. He is almost 10 now and boy can he eat a lot of pizza.

We have moved on to cakes and cookies in the kitchen, we still have a lot of fun cooking together. I did this with my son, he grew up and is a mighty fine cook. We would go out together with the big family when he was small. At 5 years, he would walk around the table, can I taste that?, are you going to eat that? He has quite the experience in the world of food.

Not feeling so great tonight. I cooked a ham yesterday to prep for the freezer, which I have not done today. I am thinking just an omelette with all the good stuff, ham, mushrooms, green bell pepper, onions and cheese, maybe some salsa on top. I might go crazy and throw a couple of biscuits in the oven. Sometimes simple it soooooo goooood!

No these are Tasty Bite brand... when I was in Darien at a mom and pop grocery store saw a package with "original" on it and snatched it up. The more "updated" version is way too hot for me.
Same thing!

I buy them at Costco for about $14/ 8 packets. Sometimes the box goes on sale for $4 off. Mine say "original" on the packets.
