What's for dinner ( or lunch )

A bacon wrapped filet mignon and a large side salad with a homemade vinaigrette.
It's been a long time since I made/ate one of those, but I did love filet mignon once upon a time. Always gave away the bacon though because I never particularly cared for bacon.

I made a large pot of very healthy vegetable soup a couple of days ago and have been eating a bowl or two for dinner each night in hopes of balancing out my intake of less healthy cookies.

So glad you had friends over, Colleen. ♥
I was so glad to see them :) They were our neighbors when we lived in another town before we moved to AZ. We always kept in touch with them. He had an appointment yesterday morning with his rheumatologist in Wexford (near Pittsburgh) so they were near by and we planned a get-together on their way back home. They brought desert so it was an added bonus to a good lunch. We now live about 40 miles from each other and don't get to see them as often.

I've just decided tonight's dinner. Strip steak with broccoli and a baked potato. Finally a proper meal.
Sounds great.

By the time I got around to it, eating early, I had two pieces of General Tso's I got from the Deli the other day, some cottage cheese, and an apple and some green onions.

I'm not sure what it is. When I was still crawling I made my mother mad because I'd get the fridge open, reach into the crisper, and eat all of the green onions.

I couldn't read or write early, but she did teach me to write my full name in cursive by about age 4. Later on in school I had to learn it all over again... they had changed to a different style and I was "doing it wrong."

Er, what was the subject again? I think my Old Timer's kicked in right there.

I made a deep quiche yesterday for supper. DW had been in town and eaten a substantial lunch, so she only had a small slice. We've got enough for dinner again tonight, but it's delicious so I'll have some for lunch too.
I do enjoy a good quiche, I never think to make one though.
Do you make a (pie) crust for it too?

Making chicken soup for a mid afternoon snack after alpine skiing w my wife and daughter. Tonight grilled NY steaks and swordfish for the wife w roasted potatoes, and sautéed peppers and onions.
I don't want to put you off your dinner.. but I stopped eating swordfish when I found it was very high in Mercury.... you do you of course, but just in case you weren't aware..
