What's for dinner ( or lunch )

i just had Haggis /neeps and tatties ... it was deeeelishus.... :p:p :love:


I also air fried some skinless chicken because that had been defosted in the fridge for 2 days.. so I've cooked that to use tomorrow for sandwiches..

It's January and one of our Pub chains does a ''Burns supper'' of Haggis neeps and Tatties all month..served in a whisky sauce to celebrate the birthday of the Scottish Poet Rabbie Burns... however during Burn's birthday week.. everywhere in the country, restaurants pubs, cafes' all do some kind of Burns supper of Haggis neeps and Tatties ( Haggis Turnip and potatoes)

I'm having my surgery at the time of the birthday week... so I won't be able to go as I usually do every year to a restaurant or pub to have a Burns Supper.. so I had it tonight at home..

Traditional Burns Night... celebrations...

Currently I have Belly pork strips in the oven cooking in a beef & grain mustard gravy....I'll just have those with peas.

I was going to make Yorkshire pudding , but it would be just to bloating
 
On Monday, I baked three blueberry crumble top cakes.

Had to use up and not waste the fresh blueberries my neighbor brought me.
Three cups of blueberries, so I had to triple Ina Garten's recipe. What a mistake, tripling it!

Now I have enough cake for three months! That is: IF I was a 'normal' consumer of delicacies.
Am a sucker for pastry deliciousness, gluttony is my crime. (Sad and crying).

It will last a week around me, myself and I.

Wish I could ship the remains to ya'll as I am going to end up eating all of it if I don't trash it.

Neighbor is a diabetic so she won't take ANY cake!
 
Jasmine rice, 3 small Italian meatballs, fried onions and red peppers, butter and liberally sprinkled with curry powder in a bowl. Small glass of milk.
you won't believe this... but I nearly had that for dinner tonight..I got the meatballs out and the rice... and then decided it might be less painful to have the soup....:D
 
I'm just about to have Moussaka... it's ready made , but not a single fake ingredient or preservative in it...

Beer, wine & spirits
• 1 cup Red wine
