What's for dinner ( or lunch )

Went out for lunch w/my sister. She had cioppino (looked delicious) and I had pecan crusted calamari w/some cilantro rice and hoison brussel sprouts. We both took home leftovers.
Note to self: dont order the brussel sprouts ever again..

Tonight I had chicken ham & leek pot pie... and peas......

at around 9.30pm my neighbours who clearly think I need feeding up sent around a HUGE platter of food.. they'd just BBQ'd...

A whole fish.. 3 large sausages, 2 chicken wings, a large Lamb steak , a pot of very hot pepper sauce of some type...

As i'd already had dinner, I had to put it into the fridge , it'll do me for the next day or 2.....

At lunch today I had the lamb steak above... and 2 sausages....

For dinner tonight , I made a baked potato, with home made egg mayo, and Blue cheese...

Not sure what I'll eat today, but my freezers are fairly jammed so I need to slow down on the filling and speed up on the emptying.

Unfortunately, my family was sick Christmas Day so I've got at least 5 lbs of shrimp plus other meat/dairy foods that are outside DH & my eating habits. Need to focus on using those up when omnivore DD or DS families come over for dinner. Other DS and DDIL are fully vegan, so no help from them on that score.

Yesterday, toddler grandson wanted pizza for lunch. I took some from the freezer's homemade pizza party leftover stash.

He and DH had cheddar pizza slices, I peeled the cheese off a couple of mushroom slices and ate mine with crust, sauce and mushrooms only. No cheese. Didn't even miss it.

Progresso Soups (now owned by General Mills) are now the primary brand competition for Campbell Soups at least here in the USA. Uncertain if it is marketed in GB? I began preferring their soups to Campbell Soups because the latter often uses MSG, a neural sensory enhancement chemical that adversely affects my pseudoaneurysm medical issue.

Yes I can't be of any help there becuse I haven't bought canned soup in probably 40 years..Campbells and Heinz were always the top selling soups...
