Again I made a savory French toast, this time with grated cheddar cheese between 2 slice. Yum.

Had salad and assemble-your-own paninis last night.

DD & I both have presses, as does DD, so she brought hers. Each press accommodates 2 paninis at a time. If we're a larger crowd, I add my big electric griddle to the mix and put weights on top of those sandwiches.

She & I coordinate on the ingredients that usually include: tofu that's been sliced & seared, deli meats, sliced cheeses, (homemade) vegan meatballs, fresh spinach, pesto spread, olive tapenade, sun-dried tomatoes, and the pièce de résistance: a can of Trader Joe's Grecian Style Eggplant with Tomatoes & Onions.

For dinner I had home made batered, fish , chips & peas... I had it early, just about 5.30pm, because my vistors had just left, and I hadn't eaten all day.....so the problem was by 11pm, I was hungry again, so I've just had a satsuma, and a glass of Strawberry milk...

Last night, I realized I had let the summer elapse without eating any all-beef corndogs. So that's what I had for supper. Ice-cream for dessert.

They are hotdogs dipped in a cornbread batter and fried. They are on a stick so they are easy to hold and to dip into yellow mustard.

Tonight I was going to have chicken drumsticks which I'd defrosted over the last day or so... I usually freeze fresh drumsticks or thighs in packs of 2 in big batches....I'd just put the chicken into the AF.. when I realised the 1/2 size fresh pizza that I;d bought yesterday was on it's use by date for today, very annoyingly, I hadn't noticed .... so I had to cook the Pizza and have that instead, and then cooled the chicken when it was cooked, and put it away for another day
