is this a typical Trader Joes'?

Don't have a TJ near me but most people love them and their products, many, are different than one can find in other stores and most people have their favorite foods they pick up there.

People I know love their TJ spice blends, tons like their orange chicken and other frozen meals or sides, candies, many things. I've always wanted to get their mini ravioli lol. I think they'd be fun in a soup.

I would not compare it to other grocery stores. They are known for what they carry. Jmo.

Here outside of the US.. we hear of various supermarket chains ..like Walmart, Dollartree...Publix, Winco... etc.... we don't have those stores here... so I'm always curious to know what they sell ...or how big or small they are

Walmart is like a cross between a department store, a supermarket and a convenience store all in one. And they sell furniture and sporting equipment. Just pretty much everything. Some of the super stores are quite large. others are just kinda big.

yes that's like Tesco or Sainsbury Superstore here.... and also that have ''Express stores'' which are smaller stores inthe suburbs that just sell food... not hardware or clothing etc...

Our supermarkets are big ( Hypermarkets) .... however I've been told by friends and family tht have visted the USA... that Walmart IS HUGE ! and much bigger than our Superstores!

We also of course have Costco....

Walmart tried some of those express stores here but they didn't go over too well.

that's a surprise they're a huge hit here we've had them for many years.... they put them in highly populated areas... it mans people don't have to drive miles to buy a loaf of bread..

Once upon a time shops like that used to be called corner shops...
 
average size of a Walmart is 187000 sq. ft

i think the one in kansas city kansas is our biggest one but i can't find any info to confirm that.

they put ours in some of the smaller towns that didn't have a walmart and had to drive to get to one. some places i think still have them here but a lot of them just didn't go over well.

are you familiar with the walmart neighborhood markets? that's basically what an express store is. it's just a smaller version is all. maybe not with the full amount of merchandise that would be in a full size store.

All I know of is regular Walmart and Walmart Super Stores.
