Whats For Dinner/Supper ?

Pulled frozen lentil, veg and beef soup from the freezer for brunch.

Think supper will be a hamburger patty and an arugula-tomato salad

home made cornbread....

Tuna with sliced pickled jalapeños on reduced calorie Italian bread with a handful of potato chips and a glass of ice cold skim milk.

A piece of Moser Roth 85% dark chocolate for afters.

Today for dinner we are having cheeseburgers with homemade, buns, relish, BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Everything was homemade except for the burger itself & the cheese.


The burger itself was hard to eat. I had to take it apart to eat it cause it was much too big. I ate the coleslaw separately.

Today will be garden carrots and potatoes served with butter and cheese. A salad made from garden tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, onion, avocado, garlic powder and Mayo. And maybe a deer burger patty if my wife fries them up.

Leftover semi homemade creamy chicken vegetable soup and a tuna sandwich.

A banana and a piece of 85% dark chocolate for afters.

I made homemade chicken fried rice for the first time ever... turned out yummy! I used coconut rice. Sliced up some fresh tomatoes with it, and there was some garlic bread leftover from yesterday, so served that with it, too.

Brunch was a salad with last night's leftover chicken, cut up. Yogurt dressing.

Supper was tomato soup with vermicelli pieces.
Later, a piece of lemon pudding-cake.
I actually baked the cake! Not too bad.

A chunk of frozen pizza, celery sticks with blue cheese dressing, and an ice cold Diet Pepsi.

I didn't feel like cooking, so tonight I had Chinese takeout... a spring roll and beef with snow peas and Chinese veggies over sticky rice.

Threw baked ham with a dill pickle and mayo into my mini-processor...instant chopped ham & pickle, spread on rye crisps, (2) and a piece of cake. I was going to steam some broccoli but I was too lazy.

Tonight we had homemade breaded halibut in the air fryer with FF.

A Sahlen Italian hot ham and cheese sandwich on low carb Italian bread with a handful of potato chips.

Didn’t cook yesterday , we went to a Sunday afternoon dance in a country area about 30 km out of the city
when you attended country dances the afternoon tea is always delicious home made goodies like sandwiches / cakes / slices / fruit platers / cheese &fruit platters so it was plenty of food .

The dance was 1~ 6 pm

They always have door prizes …and I won a garden shop purchased quite advanced pot of rhubarb
We’ve never been to that dance before but we’d met a couple in Coolangatta ( QLD)on our last trip who regularly go to that dance who invited us
it’s cost us $5 each

Most ladies decorate the stage for dances in country halls ..no such thing in city venues

All the plants along the front edge of stage were the door prizes …mostly from very good quality plants from a garden centre
