Whats For Dinner/Supper ?

Hot day, BIG lunch!

I bought a 4oz piece of sirloin steak, what the local Wegman’s offers in it’s Perfect Portion section of the meat case.

The packaging keeps it fresh longer than store packaged meats and the small portions are great for me but it can be a bit spendy.

I pan fried it, let it rest, and sliced it into paper thin slices as a salad topper to a big crunchy romaine salad with thin slices of red onion, cherry tomatoes, and chunky blue cheese dressing. 🐷🐷🐷

Have enough left for another salad, a wrap or maybe steak and eggs for breakfast.

Tonight was: Shrimp stir fry w brown rice. I used soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and siracha for flavors along w the usual black pepper, fresh garlic and ginger.

4th: grilled chicken thighs w sweet/spicy bbq, homemade mac n cheese, tomato and cuke salad, and the required corn on the cob.

I made the chicken thighs that I marinated the other day and some souberag. (Ex-tra wide egg noodles w/melted jack cheese and parsley baked) and I made a peach crisp for my sister. She bought me peach ice cream w/bits of peach in it for dessert. I'm stuffed. :)

Today I roasted a small boneless pork loin that I snagged from the Manager’s Markdown case at Wegman’s.

Half will go into the freezer and half will be sliced thin for hot and cold sandwiches.

Need to fry off a pound of 99% lean ground turkey.

Half will go into the freezer and half will go into a small casserole of baked spaghetti, sort of a lazy lasagna.

That will create enough options to coast through the week.

I get those pre seasoned pork loins at Aldi, usually around $5. The last one was garlic and lemon.

Love Wegmans. None in my town, so I have to go into Brockport or Rochester. Planning a trip for in the next week or two
