What's on for the Weekend?

Thunderstorms here over the weekend, so no gardening, and will be worriedly looking out at all the things we have planted in the last few months and hoping they won't be ruined.Grandparent duties for Sunday, so computer games, board games and crosswords etc with them.Maybe some baking if they want to do cakes.Need to order some new books for my Kindle.

I LOVE a good thunderstorm! Also Grandparent duties...enjoy yourself Oakapple!

When I worked, I really looked forward to the weekend. Now, nothing special about them. Mon-Fri is when I get out the most. Like playing golf and taking care of errands. Most weekends I lay low and let the 8-5 work crowd get their errands and playtime done. Tonight I will meet friends for a beer or two and have dinner. Tomorrow just yard work and hanging out around the house.

Sounds good Bullie. It's nice to have some friends to have a few beers with and go for dinner! I wish I could do the yard work I used to do but thankfully I'm in a condo now and tend my potted plants on the deck and porch instead. Enjoy your meal with your friends!

We're in winter mode here and it looks like it's going to be a long and cold one. Nothing much planned except for some soup cooking, movie watching and maybe.....most likely....some wine and cheese. I have some Haloumi in the fridge so I'll cook that up later today.

I tried the gardening thing for a while, may give it another go, but this time I'm sticking with just the herbs, basil does well, not much else seems to want to survive to maturity on my lanai ie what they call a patio balcony here in floridah.

Maybe a little Cannabis herb?

Been doing a lot of flying lately, so I think this weekend I will chill and take my wife to dinner and a movie, if she likes. Otherwise, I am going to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and get my stress level back to normal. Flying in bad weather really raises my stress level. On the way home from Atlanta Thursday night, we came around some very wicked storms. I had to make two diversions to avoid some nasty turbulence.
