What's the best date you remember?

My best date was with this guy that took me to a baseball game. He wasn't trying to be romantic..he wasn't trying to maul me. He was just showing me a simple fun time and trying to get to know me. It's strange but that date always stands out to me as my best date ever. I had a couple beers, watched the game, some conversation and a hot dog. It was simple & I had a great time.

What is your best date memory?

I hooked up with a gorgeous Greek/Italian gal in college whose Daddy was a doctor with a mansion on the Long Island waterfront. She drove a fully-restored (by her) '63 Corvette and she also played the violin and piano beautifully.

We went to Daddy's house when he was off on vacation and spent 4 days having a LOT of fun - in the house, in the car and on the beach.

Don't know if it qualifies as a "date" but I certainly remember it.

I've had quite a few really great dates over my lifetime with a few different people, so, no real one stands out over others at this moment, but a few funny ones, not bad funny, just memorable and kind of sweet. Nope, as soon as I think of one, another pops in my head.

One was the date he didn't have enough to pay the full tab, I chipped in and never made a big deal out of it, but, I was already smitten with him and it was too late for me to be turned off by this, not something anyone else I would have let slide back then. He's the one who still owns a piece of my heart and he went on to treat me like a queen thereafter that date, grand memories of that man.

Ending the date by a nighttime ride over the city in his airplane, that would be a h_ll no, we continued to date, but, it wasn't ever going to work, he was a little too adventurous for my blood and I just couldn't get on board with all his jet-set ways. But that was one of the funniest of our dates when we rolled up to that airport hanger where his small plane was parked. I nearly fainted. I can just imagine what my face must have looked like as he was trying to talk me into that plane, I'm sure I didn't hear a word he was saying except, tonight you will die so step into the lair.

Getting trapped on the way back to NY on the NJ turnpike in the rain and traffic and no bathroom, and I couldn't hold it need I go on. Yay big gulp cups, it was a good thing we had been on a previous date and he really liked me. Did I mention he really liked me? We continued to date for a good while after that occurrence, I've even heard all these years later he's been asking for my phone number from one of my old friends he's still in contact with. LOL.

I almost forgot, I even went on a date with someone from one of my favorite TV shows TWD, but, I'm not going to get into details, he's married now and there's really not much to tell, it was a one time date and it was before he appeared on the show in one season briefly.

But guy in first story, there are many precious memories, many wonderful dates traveling into the city to see broadway plays, concerts, including famous blues musicians, visiting national parks.

We spent a long weekend at Lake Tahoe. We saw Captain and Tennille and Neil Sedaka. This was like 1977. We were definitely in love so sharing everything was amazing. We married in 1978 and we're still in love.

There was this guy at work...I saw Clark Gable, maybe even better...he was campus police and I was lowly contract security. First time I talked to him...he was taking a report about a flasher in one of the dorms. I was mortified but he kept making all kinds of over the top jokes " Oh you should have told him you don't do miniatures". There was just something there from the beginning. We went out one night to see "Crocodile Dundee". At the diner afterwards we were the two most awkward folks you ever saw. I chained smoked from nerves and he ate half a table while talking a mile a minute...Just as rattled as I was. I do remember a very very memorable good night kiss:love_heart::love_heart::love_heart:. That was 1986 and we've been there for each other ever since.

I still get butterflies when I think of this man.
My first love,he was 6'1 tall and bodybuilder body, and 10 years older than me.we w ent for a ride with his motorcycle and then sat at the beach talking .I felt lost when he held me.
I will never forget him.

December 16th. 1960, Christmas Dinner and Dance.

Cost me a week and a half's wages.

Good investment though, hung on to her for 55 years, the fun never stopped!

Never met anyone else who used to send a First Date anniversary card every year!

I only ever 'dated' my husband to be, if that was the term you could use for our courtship! I met him when I was 15 and still at school and he was nearly 18 about to go to university. I wasn't looking for a boyfriend having declared, much to the amusement of others when I was 13, that I was NEVER going to have a boyfriend, or get married. I am still not sure why we were 'attracted', to each other as we have nothing in common. Our dating was mostly conducted by letter, as he lived in the UK, and me on my home island, we only saw each other at holiday time. Anyway we married four years later and haven't murdered each other nearly 47 years, which is quite an achievemnt!:D If he died I would never be interested in another relationship, one is more than enough! :D
