What's the latest treasure you found at Costco that you didn't know you needed?

I found two fancy drinking bottles with nice lids that seal very well, but allow me to slurp ice water when driving. And they don't spill.

They are for pre-schoolers but work well for this sloppy man. :D

....their apple strudel...yum yum yum.

Interesting, I've only been to Costco once. But I guess Walmart has similar deals sometimes. We keep dog biscuits on the front porch at all times. Getting a cookie entertains the pups so they don't knock you down in excitement. I found a 10 pound box of large biscuits for around seven bucks.

You are missing one of life's great joys, the weekly visit to Costco. :D
I am there mostly for fresh berries and produce, but have bought tons of stuff there over the years.

Agree with the artisan bread. Don't buy any of the sweets (except the cookies once in awhile) because I'd eat the entire thing! They now have cheese curds which are great. My husband hates them. More for me.

Some delicious smoked salmon. I go there mainly for the coffee, grapefruit, and other items, but I always find something unexpected. I love shopping at Costco.

I've found the same thing happens at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Never have been to a Costco. Nearest one is 70 miles west. Should stop in next time I am in Rochester. Do they have guest passes?

I have found that even standing near a Bed Bath and Beyond drains every bit of testosterone out of your body. I try to avoid them!

Last thing at Costco that we discovered and didn't know we needed were the Rib-Eye Cap steaks, they're so good and we've been buying them regularly. We always bought the boneless rib-eye, but now we have two choices.

Like Sunny, I've always enjoyed their smoked salmon (lox) and have bought it for years to eat with bagels and cream cheese. Not too far back, we thought about buying Honey Smoked salmon and it just so happened there was a gal there giving out samples, once I tasted it I was sold. Another something we buy now on a regular basis.

When they have it, we get the frozen Eggplant Parmesan, Beef and Sausage Lasagna and Tangerine juice. We always get our dry dog food there and dog treats, healthy ones made in the USA with good ingredients. We get the organic tortilla chips there too, dry roasted almonds and macadamia nuts, Aussie Bites, lots of stuff, if it's a large amount we break it down and freeze what we can.

I love their ribeye steaks also, and always get their Kirkland coffee. Not bad, and considerably cheaper than the gourmet brands.

Spurred on by a mention of it at another Forum, I just bought a few bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape at Costco for $20.

Our one and only Costco opened in Adelaide about 18 months ago ...We do quite a bit of shopping there ..including buying packs of lamingtons the packs have 16 large lamingtons for $10 I used to make all my own cake/ biscuits but not since Costco opened, I but a couple of packs ( they are in a flat single layer ) I put them in the freezer and just take out one or two when we are having a morning cuppa zap in microwave for 20 seconds ..
Thank goodness for Costco I say it's forced Woolworths and Coles to lower prices ..We also now have Aldi in several suburbs. ( all opened in Feburary this year)

Those Lamingtons sound delicious.

The most recent Costco "find" was Rice Medley, a blend of Brown Japonica, Long Grain Red and Heirloom Black Rices. It cooks great in a rice cooker following settings for brown rice. So much flavor with or without added butter, salt or spices.

We've been getting a Harvest Medley from Costco for years now too, like it a lot. Last time we had it with gravy and hot turkey breast.
