What's the most bizarre thing you've ever seen.

The son-in-law of a friend of mine dropped dead without any warning while we were having breakfast in a restaurant. He was with a friend of his and we were all just waiting for our food to arrive and making small talk when he leaned over putting his head on his friend's shoulder. We thought he was just joking around but quickly realized, he was unconscious. He slumped to the floor and we immediately preformed CPR on him but to no avail.
We found out later when the autopsy results were in that he had died of a massive heart attack/cardiac arrest. It was weird though because he never made a sound, not even grabbing his chest or anything. Pretty sure he was dead before he hit the floor.
My friend had to call his daughter and break the news to her. That was a tough moment. We were all in shock!

O.K., here goes:
Back in the early '90s I saw an other worldly being while working in a vacated county jail. Some kind of spirit being, it looked female. It was a translucent white moving image, had some kind of clothing that looked like it was blowing in a breeze, yet there was no actual moving air. I could see it's face, which looked anguished. Well, I'm not one to scare easily, but it felt like I was injected with ice water, I turned and quickly left the area where I had seen the whitish aberration.
Myself and other employees encountered numerous other worldly beings at that facility. In later experiences I mostly heard sounds of metallic objects crashing(like metal office desks) in areas that did not have those objects. Or, the rattling of steel jail bars, the slamming of jail doors that couldn't be shut, because we had secured them in the open position with chain. We did that so that people that came into the jail while vacated wouldn't accidentally get locked in. We carried HTs(radios) but the building is solid concrete and steel, and radio transmissions were weak, or outright blocked by the physical structure.

It was the consensus of those staff members that experienced these events that the beings were souls of inmates that had died in the building, over the years.

A female deputy heard of my experiences at the jail and reached out to me, her interest was in a young woman who was in custody for drunk driving, and chose to hang herself (fearing her parent's wrath) while on her watch.
Would you please also post this in our Paranormal and Strange Occurrences category? Thank you.
Spooky story. I wonder if that facility is listed in your state's roster of most haunted places. I've heard of haunted correctional facilities before.

The most bizarre thing I've seen is happening in Congress right now.

But aside from that, I saw a young couple in Seattle walking a black cat on a leash. I thought "only in Seattle". But then we adopted a Bombay (black) cat and after doing some research we learned they can be trained to walk on a leash. Who knew?

Here in the UK - working class people voting Tory. Can't get my head round it.

I think it makes some sense. Parties are undergoing realignments in much of the West. It only looks perplexing because it isn't anywhere near finished yet and those most benefiting from the old system are going to find themselves realigning with a great "thud" near the end of the process. Until then they are being left behind.

There are multiple political axes and for some of them their "poles" are shifting.

I lived in New York City for 15 years.

I saw a man dressed like Jesus Christ dragging a 6 foot wooden cross behind him.
I saw a 50 foot inflated gorilla balloon attached to the side of the Empire State Building.
I saw a elderly gentleman with glasses who could be seen on upper Broadway in the 70's, who every so often, would crow like a rooster.
While waiting for a subway train, I saw a person with a larger silver orb on their head, waiting for a train. The orb looked like a satellite.
I saw a person in a gas mask and a cape, roller blading really fast through the car I was riding on. Since the car's windows were all open, the person's cape was flying in the wind, like the cape of Superman.
I saw a man walking a fully grown sheep on a leash.
I saw cross dressing hookers.
I saw John and Yoko walking down upper Broadway, in 1978 or 1979.
You've seen a lot, but then you lived in New York.

I'm sorry if post #31 was too political for this venue. I didn't mean to imply any judgements about different interests being good, bad, right, or wrong.

Ok, I have to come clean. I told you nothing bizarre ever happened to me but that's not the whole truth.

Many of you are writing some great things here so I guess I need to come clean. (I wrote about this as a short story with a lot of fictional stuff added.) I don't talk about the real story much but I will here.

This is the true account.

My wife and I were driving to Idaho to visit relatives. We had made a reservation to stay in this very old hotel in a very small town in Eastern Oregon. When we arrived we found the town to be mostly closed down except for the hotel and a bar. The hotel was less than advertised. It was a two story brick building with a nice looking entrance but once inside it was easy to see the place hadn't been taken care of. It had seen better days to say the least. Several old men were in a lounge area off from the front desk. They were watching an old box t.v.

We were having second thoughts about staying but it was getting late so we figured we would make the best of it.

Our room was on the second floor. We walked up a flight of old creaky stairs and found our room. It was in need of paint and the carpet was worn. We decided to call it an early night. The sheets were clean so we turned out the light and crawled under the covers. The light out front shown through the curtains which cast a low light into the room.

It was the middle of the night when it happened. Something woke me up. I could feel something tugging at my arm. Still half asleep I opened my eyes. What I saw scared the shit out of me.

A shadow figure stood on the bed over me. It had a hold of my arm and was pulling on it. It had gotten me into a sitting position as I struggled to free myself from its grip.I realized my physical body was still laying on the bed. I don't pretend to understand it but I was somehow being pulled from my body.I struggled and yelled at it to let me go but the shadow figure paid little attention.

In the midst of my struggle I recalled something from my youth particularly from my catholic upbringing. IfI were to call out “In the name of Jesus Christ be gone” whatever had me would disappear. I did just that. The shadow figure let go and disappeared as I fell back into my body.

My wife had stayed sound asleep through it all. I didn't sleep the rest of the night. I woke my wife early and I told her what had happened. We got dressed and got the hell out of there.

It was the most bizarre and the scariest thing that has ever happened to me.

The only thing that comes to mind: in San Diego, I saw a bunch of Furries (people who like to dress up like animals), accompanied by a guy who was completely naked except for a tiny fur codpiece that I couldn't tell how it was staying on. Oh, and tennis shoes.
When I lived in Encinitas just north of San Diego I saw something similarly bizarre. It was Halloween night and my husband left the house to take our 3 girls trick-or-treating. I stayed at the house with the baby so someone would be there to hand out candy. The doorbell rang. Expecting children, I opened the door wide and there stood a large full grown man in a black trench coat. He didn't speak. Instantly he opened his coat like a flasher. He had a stuffed stocking coming out of his zipper and I slammed the door frightened out of my mind as I was all alone in this huge house with my baby. I ran around making sure all the doors were locked but I couldn't hardly breath I was so scared.

I was on this subway and a woman's skirt fell down completely to the floor. This was like 55 years ago and I still laugh when I think of it....
My hometown had a brand new shiny bowling alley which my high school class used as a hangout. Behind the long row of lanes were little tables where we all sat. My girlfriends and I had the last table, so if we had to go to the ladies room it meant walking past all those tables with all those boys watching.

When I had to do it, I would play the "Miss America" song in my head in order to keep good posture and a smooth walk. One night, half way down the gauntlet, my snowy white half-slip fell down around my ankles. I stepped out of it, picked it up, and put it in my purse without missing a beat in my head music. No one made a sound.

Now, I'm wondering if some of those boys think that was the most bizarre thing they ever saw.

@Youngster, your story triggered memory of a couple experiences I had but forgot about. Your post would be a good addition to the Paranormal and Strange Occurrences section of the forum.

I didn't know how to react to this thread until I read this. Spending time in Berkeley, California I've had my share of strange encounters. There used to be a guy riding around in a pink leotard and cape on unicycle. Here he is in San Francisco:

Then there was naked guy going around town when I was a student at Cal in the late 80's.

There was also someone referred to as Roar, a young man who was extremely buff and had Tourettes syndrome. He'd holler out things, sometimes off color, out of the blue and randomly drop and do pushups or jump up onto any king of bar and do pull-ups.

At first I was going to ask whether this was with or without mind altering booze and such but sometimes life gets plenty strange without tour minds getting messed with.

sadly, road-kill deer are not a rarity in my part of NJ. a few years back, during a 1-2 week period, saw 2 HUGE carcasses on the shoulder of the road... HEADLESS!! could only imagine there were HUGE racks of horns/antlers and somebody is bragging about how he got that trophy. gross, but they were beheaded so cleanly, i have to assume it was a chain saw. can't picture someone cutting the heads off... both were along relatively busy stretches of road that always has some traffic.
Hunterdon County?

The shape shifting entity in the 1982 film, The Thing, with Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, and Keith David.

A Youtube 5 minute clip from the husky cage scene.

I was in SanFransico visiting my brother, we parked under a highway overpass and were just walking away when a woman came falling from above landing right next to us. She was attempting suicide but the overpass wasn't high enough, she had an obviously broken ankle but we didn't see any major injuries, but she kept screaming "let me die, let die". It was bizarre because it was so unexpected and unusual.

You win .. by which I mean you lose in terms of having had to go through the most heinous experience.

It was a Saturday afternoon and I was driving along a duel carriageway. On the opposite side of the carriageway was a completely naked woman running along the road with slow moving traffic behind her. In hot pursuit were 5 police officers on foot. I had no idea where their police cars were, as I couldn't see any.

The naked woman then jumped over the armco barrier separating each side of the road, and ran in front of my car. Then she ran to the pavement at the side of the road and tried to climb up a chain link fence. The police officers pulled her down from the fence. I could hardly believe what I was seeing, it seemed so surreal.

The following Monday the whole event was described in the local newspaper. The woman in question was being held for a psychological assessment.

The most bizarre things I've seen are fashion shows such as this. My friend (FB) messaged me one yesterday that had me laughing so hard my son had to come into the room to find out what was wrong with me. I can't find that one on YouTube but here's one. The video is in segments. You want to see bizarre...watch to the end! I swear these designers are on crack! :ROFLMAO:
