Whats Wrong With This Picture?

LOL. Come on, almost, everyone has at least one time when they first got a new car made that mistake. Though we would of course usually make sure to drive to the other side to correct the error.
 
One of the things I liked about my '88 Vette was that the gas cap was in the exact middle of the rear deck, so it didn't matter how blind, drunk or stupid I was - I was always on the "right" side. :eek:

Same here with my Buick Roadmaster (When I had it.) Smack dab in the middle of the back.

Now I have one on the drivers side. DANG!
 
My vehicles I have now all have the gas tank opening on the drivers side, which I always prefer. I guess in the middle of the back would be okay, but I definitely don't care for one on the passenger side. I have made that mistake in the past, and just pulled around the other way before I started filling up. That picture is a little crazy, two of them at once? :playful:
 
It's possible, they were so happy to get to the pump before someone behind them slipped that they didn't dare move. I remember days of lines backed up to make it first to the pump and especially on really cold days, so who knows. Back in NJ, you would see people drive head first in the wrong direction just to beat the other person to make it to the pump first. Of course those days, we didn't pump our own case in Jersey. I'm not sure about these days. People aren't right in the head when it comes to driving most of the time anyway.

Nothing like a bit of Avtur to round of breakfast before departure!

Seriously, no matter how careful I was, I always got the most raging indigestion after siphoning AVGAS, never had the same problem with AVTUR.

I can remember wing refuelling at a US base once. Put the hose in, walked to the edge of the wing and said "1250 imperial please"

"Too late, you've already got 3000"

American efficiency sucks! (no pun intended)
 
The Costco Gas Bar here has long arm pumps that easily stretch over to the other side....maybe these two guys thought they were at Costco :D
