What's Your All-time Favorite Simple and/or Cheapie Meals To Make?

Toasted whole wheat bread, butter, mayo, tomato, bacon (always some cooked in the freezer) and lettuce.
or
Can of Amy's soup; either vegetable barley or alphabet and soda crackers.
or
Asparagus on butter whole wheat toast.
Now that is different but I'd like to try that one-the asparagus on buttered toast-yum! I love asparagus but rarely get it. I should get some!

I guess a goulash but I generally make it into a soup. Then I can add more stuff and eat it for days.
Fry lean ground round with chopped onions.
Add a little mild chili mix seasoning, diced green chilies, water, corn, beef broth, and canned stewed tomatoes ( crushed or just the juice.)
Heat and add some elbow macaroni.
Maybe other people don't like it but I do!

A homemade chicken noodle soup or a homemade beef noodle soup will last me for days!
I like those Hormel meats. roast beef au jus and chicken and gravy. These can be served so many different ways and are so quick and easy.
and, It's just me, So, sometimes just a quick tuna fish sandwich!

As you can see, I'm not much into food. When you are cooking for someone else, you put a lot more thought into it!

Chop 2 Tbsp Parsley

Drain Pasta. return to pot, quickly add bacon/garlic and egg mixture with parsley.

This sounds really good. I don't eat meat so I'd use pinto and other beans instead, but the rest of these ingredients are almost always in my pantry or freezer.
Thanks!

My chicken soup. I buy the chicken when it is on sale. I make broth when I have a whole chicken carcass.
Frozen veggies. Then freeze small batches for later meals. Time consuming , maybe, but I can get several meals of chicken soup for not a lot of cash
I often make "chickenless" soup. Same ingredients as regular chicken soup (broth, carrots, celery, onions, noodles, parsley) but no meat.

I sometimes cook with chicken and beef broth/bouillon because I can't stand vegetable broths - they all taste overwhelmingly of boiled onion skins.
