We should all have at least one hobby and several activities to keep us busy during our retirement years.
I'm a writer and a webmaster among other things.
I've been working hard at writing articles, short stories and building my site. I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out. It's not even close to being complete which is the way most hobbies and activities should be. There should always be something else that can be done. For me, It's the process that makes most things enjoyable and not the final result.

Ironically I don't have as many hobbies as I did when I was working.. and obviously, younger..

I used to buy and sell Antique telephones, renovate them and sell them on online auction sites.. I don't do that now, because people cottoned onto what a big moneymaker it was and everyone got in on the act, even telephone companies producing fake vintage models..

I used to play Cello...

Until Covid-19 I travelled abroad 2 or 3 times a year.


Now.. older.. I still adore music, never a day goes by without playing it, but I don't play the Cello or any instrument any more..

I;ve collected Postcards from all over the world for more than 30 years.. and have 3 Scrapbooks full . I still do that , but now because it's not common for people to send Postcards.. that's taken a back seat!

I collect all original Memorabilia in good condition of Concorde

I collect vintage scraps that we little girls used to swap with each other back in the 50's and 60's..


..aside from music.. ... I am an avid photo taker.. I love to take photos.. far from being professional at it.. but it's just my joy and love... , and much of my work in the last 9 years has been posted on this forum in the Photo section... :D

I know what that's like. I used to make flag cases for deceased veterans. It was a good selling product until others started selling them. Even companies from China got into the act. It got to where you could buy one for $25. It got to where very few people wanted custom made cases.
I couldn't compete so I gave it up.
 
My hobby or what I do is attaining spiritual and psychic knowledge. Listening to gurus and philosophers online. Learning about such things they talk about about life and how to get along with society.The latest thing I have been learning about what people say about cosmic consciences and the past experiences that people have had with cosmic consciences and universal knowledge. My latest physical hobby is making wine at home not necessarily the good stuff but the hootch and cheap and easy to make stuff.

Do you enjoy gardening ?.. I don't like it, but I like to have nice gardens, so I am out in the gardens most days from Spring until Autumn , making sure everything is growing as it should, the lawns are neat the leaves are swept up.. the hedges and shrubs are trimmed.... I just wish someone else was doing it and not me .. ! :LOL:Gardeners around here are very expensive, so that's not an option...

Whenever I dread yard work I pretend someone gave me a free gym membership. It includes fresh air and a tanning bed (of sorts.)
Once I get out there, I like it. A nice shower afterwards is the spa!
