What's your lucky number?

I remember this as something I read years ago. You add up all the numbers in the date of your birth until you get a single number and that is your lucky number. For instance, if you were born on May 21, 1948, you add 5 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 4 + 8 which gives you 30, then 3 + 0 = 3.
