What's your most memorable experience you've had in nature?

I'm sure we've all had more memories than we can count, but a couple experiences stick out for me.

One was when I was hiking on an untouched trail in Alaska, no one around except the people I was with, standing on the edge of a mountain, looking out over a bay and watching a bald eagle flying around. Beautiful, regal and breath-taking.

Another was snorkeling in an ocean as a baby shark swam by.

What are your most memorable moments in nature?
 

The time I stood about a foot away from a yearling deer, in the wild, and talked with it.

The time I lifted a rock in the Sierra Nevada's and found a "Rubber Boa" snake.

Rafting on an inner tube down the upper Sacramento River in the summer.

I have spent several days at a time out in the woods and rivers, Hunting fishing paddling hiking, and have witnessed many amazing.
Had an Owl almost land on my lap in a tree stand, Had a snake crawl into my kayak. But have to say the wildest thing I got to see was a deer walked circles around in front of my stand for 20 minutes, laid done about 30 yards away and gave birth to 2 fawns.
 

So many to choose from hiking, camping, and fishing.
One experience that comes to mind is when I was in a survival class. I had to hike into a remote area in winter and build a snow shelter (A Quinzhee), and sleep in it overnight. The next morning when the sun came up, the inside of the shelter was blue (Same reason the sky is blue), and it was like awakening inside of a blue bubble and totally silent. It was pretty cool.
 
Going on an interior canoe trip in Algonquin Park with my husband for 2 1/2 weeks- 17 days. We travelled far in the canoe as well as walking on portages. It was very challenging. We met up with 3 bears. Not all at the same time. I was more worried about my dog than myself.

We barely saw sole. When we did see people they were going the opposite way to us. We saw lake otters, moose, wolves, bear, loons, foxes, coyotes. Most lakes were small so it was very intimate. It was challenging and yet equally romantic. One almost becomes one with nature.
 
I've spent plenty of times in the outdoors, seen and done a lot so hard to pick one experience. I can tell you my most frightening tho.

I hunted and trapped from a young age and spent a lot of time in the woods at night, I loved it out there. One night I was coon hunting with my neighbor, we were standing still listening to the dogs howling off a ways when a screeching scream came from back behind us. I've never been prone to startlingly, I don't scream or shake or panic, but my gosh my butt hole squeezed shut and every muscle in my body tensed up.

Turned out to be a bobcat, which were unusual in our area but not unheard of. We never saw it but for the next few weeks other neighbors heard it as well as my dad, they all agreed it was a bobcat. Once I knew what it was I wanted to see that thing in the worst way, every time I'd hear it I was dashing out to the woods, but never did get to see it.
