What's your special Gift..do you have one?

I was going to say my ear for music, but I have another "gift" which is probably more unusual. I can nearly always sense what time it is, without having to look at a clock or any other device. I just seem to have an innate sense of how much time is passing. Even when I wake up in the middle of the night, I can usually guess what time it is, within a half hour or so. It's not breathtakingly amazing, just a kind of oddball ability. I wonder how many other people have this.

After thinking about it overnight, I realize that my talent is simply being an "Ordinary Joe."
I can't dance, draw, sing, play an instrument, act, and a long list of other things.
I am fairly good at repairing things, but having known others who are better, I can't claim to excel there either.
I do have a couple of Master's Degrees, but I don't think that counts in this arena.

Just a "couple of Master's degrees"... That counts a LOT!

A gift would be something rare like an ear for music which I envy in others and those that can play a musical instrument without formal lessons. Even a harmonica would be a blessing.

So for me what would that rare gift be?

Well I realized I'm a heck of a good painter. Walls not portraits. I can paint window frames without using masking tape. I can cut in on walls and ceilings without masking tape. I can paint left handed and right handed equally. The only flaw I have is having to get up and down the ladder.

I never realized it until I was helping a friend paint a house and his father was helping. He told me I had painted six window frames before he finished one. Then they had a french door inside with all those frames. One of the people told me he would hire me at his plant anytime I wanted to go.

In my teens and 20s, my vision was WAY better than 20/20. In high school, I had quite a reputation. I could spot cops in unmarked cars a half mile away so when I wasn't driving, I always got to ride "shotgun" so I could be the lookout. Also, I drove my '67 GTO like there was a checkered flag at every destination.

I finally have some comfort with so many things in my life that were sad.....Don't know if there will be more sadness, but I hope it's after I pass away....I adore my grandkids and my daughter and her hubby and my son and his lovely wife...My brother and his family and my sister in law,
who lost her husband (my husband's brother) and her lovely family....They are my gift's.....I don't need any other thing in my life, just to be there
if they all need me.....
If that's my Special Gift, So Be It.....♥

I’m an excellent multitasker and I’m highly organized. I can look at bits of information and synthesize/analyze what’s most important. I care very deeply about doing an excellent job and have a sense of responsibility that is sometimes very annoying to me but I can be trusted and people can count on me because of this strong sense of responsibility. I think that’s why I was great at case management because of the innate skills that just came naturally. Wow I’m making myself a little nauseous with all this self praise but you know what every once in a while it doesn’t hurt to pat ourselves on the back, 👍.

Yes some people have an ability also to spot wild game when others can't see them.

I think people that are a bit color blind don't see camouflage the same way as others.

My eyed doctor told me to cover one eye and read the smallest line on the chart>

That is good. Some people their only multitasking ability is to sit on the toilet and read the newspaper. Do you also repair stuff and not have any parts left behind?
