When I make things like soup, or chili , I always make a big batch, and freeze single portions. It is always nice to have home made food in the freezer. Especially being single. Usually do them in the slow cooker.
I ask this question based on a conversation I had with a single, senior friend (in her 60s like me). She was surprised I froze meals. She found it "too much like work" and " Not worth the effort". I find it no effort at all, especially since I am cooking anyway. This is the same person who always complains she never has anything good to eat in her house,
I mean, I buy convenience stuff too, but that is not as good for us, of course. I try to keep a good balance in the freezer.
I just used the last of my chicken soup, but have several containers of chili.
