When have you noticed your age?

I'm fortunate no-one has ever suggested that I might need a seniors discount for anything, in fact I often forget to ask for one.. altho' tbh on the odd occasion I have , no-one has questioned it much to my chagrin..lol.. but I'm not sure if that's because I look my age or it's because people are afraid now of being sued for offending...

When have you noticed your age?

Asking for a Coffee in Macdonald's a couple of years ago, I was told the coffee is free.
Asking why I was told, "It is free for "Seniors"

The answer is...

I have always been conscious of my age, no matter what it was, or in this case, what it is. Like the rest of you, I'm not getting any younger. So be it, and so there. I'm just happy to still be kickin', and believe me, I am. dance3

I've always been aware of the age thing because when I was 22 years old some college kid stopped me one evening to asked for directions and called me M'am. WTF!!! M'am? At 22?

So I always do my best to look my best because the alternative makes me unhappy and it must work because no one has mentioned senior discounts to me yet.
:ROFLMAO:

I think that people in general, look younger these days .. at least, to me they do.
More than appearance, having a youthful attitude makes a difference.
there's no question about that IMO Pinks...My own daughter who will be 48 in a couple of months.is constantly being mistaken for being in her early 30's...

I often see people in photos from when I was young..who were then in their 40's or 50's... and they look like people do today in their 70's 80's...

When I had my knee surgery. It took me a long time to recover. Normally, I recover from things fast, but not any more. I do see a lot of young guys who are a lot fatter than I am, and I am thankful I have kept most of my youthful figure. Not all, but most. Most of the loss is muscle which is hard to put back on as we age. But, at least I don’t need XXL pants.

I can only think of one time I got a discount. Went to a small town local grocery store during pandemic days, mid-morning to limit exposure. Turned out that seniors get 10% off on Wednesdays.

But it really hit me before that at the start of the lockdowns. Ambulance ride to the hospital, scary diagnoses for completely different things, went home with oxygen and 9 prescriptions a week later. That week in bed left me weak for far too long. At least I got rid of the oxygen fairly quickly.
