I once had a house rabbit that thought he was a cat.
If you were reading a book, there would be a rabbit sitting in your lap, leaning on the book. If you were trying to read the newspaper on the coffee table, there would be a rabbit artistically splayed across the paper. Heaven forbid you wanted to crochet or string beads or do anything with your hands unless you were happy doing it over, under and around a rabbit. Watching TV usually meant there was a rabbit fur neckwarmer draped along the back of the couch, chewing on your hair. Whenever he managed to unlatch his pen at night, you would be treated to a rabbit face mask sometime during before dawn.
As I said, just like a cat.....
The cat, now.....he thought he was a dog. The dog wasn't quite sure what SHE was, but she was pretty certain she wasn't a dog.
I always had animals that were a little species-confused.
