When was the first time you rebelled?

I don’t remember, but mom told me I cried so much in kindergarten that the teacher told her to wait till next year. Guess it stuck with me as I hated school until I quite.
As luck would have it, the Army sent me to Aberdeen, MD for 20 weeks of school...

Always been too nice /polite, can’t hurt anyone’s feelings. In trying to be nice, ended up being a doormat. However, I have, since my divorce, gradually ‘grown a spine ‘ ( learning to stand up for myself and set boundaries).... so I guess that’s a positive rebellion 😎

Near as I can remember I was 4 and my grandfather had just died. He used to buy all us girls dresses every year. I refused to wear any more dresses after having to wear a dress to his funeral. My aunt, who I didn't remember, came home from Germany to help out her mom. I refused to let her hug or kiss me. I got very upset at dinner and had pushed my chair back with my feet on the underside of the table and Nana was trying to walk by. I wasn't paying attention and my aunt got upset that I would be "so rude" to my Nana and swatted my butt. (I adored my Nana and wouldn't ever do anything mean/rude to her). This made me like my aunt less. However, she quickly became my favorite after the funeral and losing my grandfather wasn't as painful.
