When you were younger !

When I was first married and even before that I lived in South Philly. We had a Disc Jokey living on our block. Every Summer he would hold a party outside. He would start the party with songs with a girl's name in the title. He always started with the song Barbara Ann by the beach boys. I would get teased all the time because they thought he favored me. He also played hello Mary Lou and Dianna and many others. Then one day he played many songs with the name Barbara in the title. I wanted to put one of the songs in, but youtube isn't working for me today. Are there any songs with your name in the title?
Nope.

When I was younger, I listened to many songs but the one and only song I identified with was affirmation of manliness.

My mother had a crush on the renowned actor, Robert Taylor. He was Hollywood royalty, a film and television star from 1934 to 1969, renowned as one of the most handsome leading men in Hollywood and the distinction as one of the most professional actors of his time. Mother also had a crush on a rather handsome fellow whose family name was Taylor, so much so that when he popped the question, she said yes.

Mother's first born was a boy, no prizes for guessing that he was named Robert. The only famous Robert song that I can remember is Dr. Roberts by The Beatles. There's plenty of Bobby songs though and one of them, despite my family always calling me Robert, my sister's played when I brought home a beautiful girlfriend:

That song was: Bobby's Girl. "Bobby's Girl" is a song and single written by Gary Klein and Henry Hoffman. The original was performed by American teenage singer Marcie Blane, and became a number 3 hit on the US charts. A near-simultaneous cover by British singer Susan Maughan was the hit in the UK, coincidentally also reaching number 3 on the UK charts. Both Blaine and Maughan are one-hit wonders; for both these artists,
