Where did the birds go?

Nothing all day and it's now almost 3 pm here. The only thing I heard were neighbors who rented a dumpster and are loudly throwing things away - I assume from water damaged items from their basement.

If you are not seeing birds, they are probably off
charging on power lines. Birds today aren’t real, you see, but are government-produced information-gathering drones that began quietly replacing the biological species beginning in the 1970’s. You have been lied to about them for most of your entire life. Just remember…If it flies, it spies!

I see sparrows aplenty, but now that you mention it, deb, I haven't seen those pesky starlings in a while. Wonder where they went?

Am seeing more squirrels this year, as an aside.

Same here at my house. The sparrows hang around all year. Black birds (starlings) start thinning out in July and by Aug. they're gone completely, as are the red-wing black birds (they're a nasty bird!). I've still got lots of Cardinals and just the past week or two I've had a pair of bright yellow finches coming around the feeder. They're so brilliant yellow you can't miss them.

Lots of squirrels here too. The other morning I awoke to a skunk dragging a dead squirrel by the tail across my front lawno_O I thought skunks only ate grubs from the lawn?

There is an usually large number of birds that hang around the IRS building. Not the one in DC near the other government buildings, the one in the suburbs.
