Where Do You See Yourself in Ten Years?

@hollydolly You'll be two years younger than I am right now so not old yet. The older you get, the further you are away from old age. I'm supposed to be old but don't feel old. Come to think about it, I don't feel any different today than I did when I was 70 or 60 or 50 or...

ETA: But wait! I don't know how I'm supposed to feel at my age. I've never been this age before.

re MurrMurr's post #4 My "corpse" will be donated to the university for medical studies.

I too will donate my body to the University. I have been a diabetic for 60 years and hope future healthcare professionals will realize that taking care of one self will overcome some of the negative aspics of many diseases - eg: diet, exercise, positive outlook.

Hopefully right here doing the things I do now. I love my life in the mountains and forest. If not, then I will be floating towards the ocean along with jujube. My kids have promised they will give me that mountain sendoff.

Really for real, Murrmurr……..
Are you asking if I really donated my corpse? I did.

You have to fill out 4 or 5 pages; list all your surgeries, injuries, illnesses, deformities, give your doctor's name and all that, list the things you don't want your body to be used for, read a few paragraphs about the various things it's likely to be used for, then sign it and either have 2 witnesses sign or get it notarized. Then you give the whole thing to your doctor....the forms, I mean. I think your doctor's supposed to sign it, too.

In some places I think it's easier. Anyone who's interested can check how it's done in their country, state, or province.

I hope I'll still be alive (66 now so would be 76). I wish I will still be here at this retirement community because I think I'd have some good friends by then and there are lots of things to do etc, but my daughter has informed me that when she has kids I have to go back to Nebraska. I'm pretty bummed by that idea.

I will be 80 and hopefully still doing well. The older I get the faster time goes.
I find it just the opposite. The closer I get to the grave, the more time I seem to have at my disposal.

I don't mind waiting at the checkout and often let people with big trolley loads go ahead of me, especially if they have little children.

When I take a train into the city I don't care whether I take an all stations one or a fast train that skips lots of the usual stops.

A task that is pressing is one that needs to be done in the next week or so.

For me, time is slowing down, which is just as well because that is what my body is doing.
