Where is our friend underock?

Does anybody know if underock is ok? He seems somewhat scarce these days. He is a lovely man, and I miss his warmth, intelligence, and laughter. SF is poorer without him. Merry Christmas, my friend. I miss you!
 

Haven't seen him in a few months, hope he's okay.

I've thought the same Shal. He's a good friend and an interesting SF contributor. Seems he disappeared on Nov. 9, 2016 - a date which will live in infamy, to coin a phrase. Any connection maybe? He is in his 80's and alone. Hope he's okay.
 
It is definitely a touchy situation on a forum such as this, with most of us being in the Third Age of our lives. A thought we do not want to have about a sudden absence. Unless someone here knows him in real life, we may not know. I know that on another forum I belonged to, the daughter of one of our members came into the forum under his user name to inform us he had suddenly passed away. But hopefully he is just taking a break, or has decided to move on.
