I live in a senior apartment building.
welcome to the forum.. what are you asking ?I live in a senior apartment building.
Ha! I like that description ''Geezer ghetto''....I live in a geezer ghetto, 74 2 and 3 story condo apartment buildings. my building has 74 units.
Old ?..lol...We live in a lovely old (1964) two bedroom bungalow on a quiet estate about half a mile from the sea front.
I'm envious. You get anywhere near the sea here in the U.S. and you're talking high home prices. In fact, one state (Oregon) has (last I heard) a "view tax" on any properties with ocean views. We live in a lovely old (1964) two bedroom bungalow on a quiet estate about half a mile from the sea front.
it's the same here...anything near the coast particualrly down here in the South ( OY lives in the north)...then prices are scandalously highI'm envious. Born in '64 ? I thought this was a seniors site. All 4 of our kids were born prior to '64. In 1957, 58, 61, and 62.Old ?..lol...
My house is the same age as me.... very young![]()
I wasn't born in '64..... ..and even if I was 64 means someone is going to be 60 this year..that's a senior for this site which is for 50 and over..Born in '64 ? I thought this was a seniors site. All 4 of our kids were born prior to '64. In 1957, 58, 61, and 62.![]()
How do you like living there?I live in a senior apartment building.
you mean you don't already live there ?...Somewhere. Over the rainbow?
...but how would you know that unless you/one tries various places ?The best place to live is where you are most comfortable.
And that is how you find out....but how would you know that unless you/one tries various places ?
I have moved many times in my life, ..but most people can't afford to.. or can't move jobs..etc..And that is how you find out.
When you think of the most expensive places to buy property in the world, a few obvious names spring to mind. New York, Tokyo, London, Monaco. Those kind of places. But the world’s most expensive home isn’t actually in any of those cities. Apparently, it’s in a small seaside town in Dorset.it's the same here...anything near the coast particualrly down here in the South ( OY lives in the north)...then prices are scandalously high
exactly, that's what I said.. home on the coast here in the south can be scandalously highly priced...When you think of the most expensive places to buy property in the world, a few obvious names spring to mind. One bungalow in the Dorset resort of Sandbanks recently sold for a whopping £13.5 million. Called North Haven Point, the home is spread over 2,909 square feet – meaning that, per square foot, it cost a mind-boggling £4,640.
Trying to suggest my head is full of straw?you mean you don't already live there ?...![]()
if the cap fits.....Trying to suggest my head is full of straw?
I always favored old ironbutt. I'm not that cwazy lion though.if the cap fits.....![]()
We bought our house back in 1997. It's just in Dorset by a few feet but we shop and before retiring, my wife worked in Ringwood, which is Hampshire. At the time our home would have cost an additional six figure sum had we been within walking distance of the coast.exactly, that's what I said.. home on the coast here in the south can be scandalously highly priced...
I would never even if I was a Billionaire pay 13 m for a house on Sandbanks.. never ever..what madness...
At least they get ocean views for their rip off tax. Vermont has a view tax I discovered while visiting some friends there. Yeah.... nothing like a view of some foggy valley.I'm envious.
