Where were you when the world stopped turning?

I was home watching T.V. My son who drove for Coach at the time had done his normal New York City run and left the ground zero area, probably about 15 minutes before the planes hit. He ran inside and told me to turn on the T.V. I sat there and watched in disbelief as the tragedy unfolded. My (future) DIL was working at a school. I called her and kept her updated because some of the parents were coming in giving inaccurate information.

My husband and I were supposed to be in NYC at the Javitz Convention Center that day for a retail trade show. We would have left about the time the attacks were taking place. I didn't feel well and he was running late, so decided not to go. I found out later that my honorary son was supposed to be at the WTC that day but decided to postpone his visit.

My son was very worried about some of his passengers (who were regulars) because they didn't ride the bus for about two weeks. May those who loss their lives R.I.P. And may their families find comfort in the happy memories and the fact that their loved ones will always be honored, their names literally etched in stone for eternity.

I just ran across this. My heart breaks because it shows how we all felt when we knew this wasn't an accident.
It's very real. Regis is very professional and I sense he knows Kelly is starting to freak out and he keeps things calm.

I was having breakfast and had turned news to CNN which I watched for about two minutes then the ghastly thing happened and I stayed with it in shock as the second plane hit. It was a dreadful nightmarish day and I could not tear my self away from it.

My cousin who lived in London at the time had business associates working in the first tower and were also friends . Two of them were lost. I could only update him as reported on TV. He was devastated.

That is one memory in this old age I will never forgetsad.gif
