Which animal would you be ?

a dog, since I'm a life long dog lover. There are a couple of breeds I've always been attached to golden retriever, and labs.As long as my owner takes me on walks/feeds me,gives me TLC 24/7,I'll be happy

A cheetah. When I was in high school, I was the state final runner-up (Bronze Medal) in the 100 yard dash. (Back then we were still using English measurements.) My relay team won the state final. I was what is called the Anchor or the fourth runner.

In football, even at 6'4", I was the idiot to run back all kicks. People used to tell me that they were amazed at my speed. I told them what they were seeing was fear in action.

I had to edit my original post to correct my mistakes. I apologize for misleading anyone.
Bronze medalist? Football hero? What do you do in your spare time; leap tall buildings? Everytime I read about you, my mouth falls open!
Is there anything you CAN'T DO? I'm serious! I'm honestly amazed by you!!!

Actually, I won the silver for second and our relay team for the 4x100 took the gold. In football, I was no hero. Yes, I ran back kicks, but what I wrote was true. I ran in fear. Back in those days, we didn’t have all the hi-tech protective gear like today and I took some pretty vicious hits. On the relay team, I was the fourth runner, or what is called the Anchor or Kicker. Long legs are great for running.

It hasn’t been all great. I got into deep trouble in my sophomore year and my dad put me in the military academy. That was the only thing that saved me from going to jail. My dad was a very impressive man in his uniform. He made a deal with the judge to send me to military school. Had my dad not been in the Army, I also wouldn’t have been admitted to the military academy. Doing those two years put me back on the straight and narrow. I should have stayed for my senior year.

My dad taught me to play the fiddle, harmonica and a little guitar. But, I can’t read music. I played by ear. I haven’t picked up an instrument in over 40 years. After dad died, I lost interest. My dad died in a fire right after he had retired from the Army.

After college, I joined the Marines, went to Vietnam for 14 months, was injured during a firefight, got a PH for that, worked for DuPont for two years as an engineer, was bored to tears, went to ATP flight school, graduated, got a job with Air Wisconsin for eight years and finally ended up at United. End of story. Sort of sounds like Forrest Gump, right?

Oh, wait. I also drag raced on the AHA tracks (as a hobby), got married and we had two children somewhere in there.

Chinese zodiac says for my year that it was the year of the horse. How about this one?
