Which is better? Creamy or Crunchy peanut butter?

I do not like peanut butter (more commonly called peanut paste here)

I use it occasionally in cooking but I never use just plain spread on anything

My impression in Australia is that it is more of a kids spread than something many adults eat.

All natural peanut butter made with peanuts and salt. Period. Then I vote for nutty, but only by a thin margin.

I’ve never refrigerated the commercially made natural peanut butter.

When I open a fresh jar I pour off most of the oil, to save a few calories, and give it a quick stir.

I store the jar upside down on the shelf and just flipping it over is enough to keep things mixed up.

I used to buy a peanuts and salt only brand, but it came refrigerated, never separated. I have bought brands that are sold off the shelf, usually did pour off some oil, mix it and refrigerate, again it didn't separate. I grew up in a house that peanut butter was kept in the refrigerator, so it's perfectly normal for me.

I make it myself now with no salt dry roast peanuts, creamy. It's half the price and if someone wants crunchy easy enough to add some chopped nuts to it. If straight from the frig is too stiff, I just let it sit on the table for a few minutes it softens up.

Creamy, but any peanut butter is better than none at all! Skippy, Jif, and Peter Pan are the trinity, and each have their merits. Remember Superman peanut butter? It really wasn’t all that super… 😸

Extra crunchy. Single ingredient (peanuts). One Tbsp contains 4 grams of protein, 8 grams of healthy fats, and 1.4 grams of fiber. It's one of my go-to foods for a balanced diet. I've never heard of refrigerating peanut butter.
