Which vows

I would choose silence over poverty.

“Lord give me chastity and self-control - but not yet.” - St. Augustine

I f you had to take vows of chastity, poverty and silence, which would be the easiest and which the hardest for you to keep?
I'm going to pretend the question should read 'chastity, poverty, or silence'
In any event, poverty and silence I've mastered
Chastity?
I have zero control of that one, and Larry (a nickname for wunna my boys) has taken the vow of silence

Silence would be the hardest for me. Poverty, I've apparently taken that vow already. Chastity? Ehhhh.

Three hermits were sitting on their rock ledges when a horse trotted by.

"Did you see that black horse go by?" asked the first.

A year later, the second hermit said, "I think it was dark brown, not black."

Two years after that, the third hermit cried, "If you two guys don't stop that constant bickering, I'm outa here!"

Silence would be the easiest for me as I'm not a big talker and never have been a social animal. Poverty would be difficult since I love shopping and tend to have extravagant tastes. And chastity is not a relevant issue at this stage of my life! 🤭

 Speaking of Chastity Vows, A man went out for a drink, he told his wife if if I am not back in 10 years, you can take the key and unlock it.

At my age now, chastity would be the easiest.

I saw an episode once of Twilight Zone or some such show.
In a gentleman's club, this one guy was constantly talking, would not shut up, irritating everyone at the club. Finally, this one guy offered him a million dollars if he would shut up for one year. He would be kept in a cage at the club to make sure he did not cheat. The guy, hard up for money, agreed. Time went on and the guy that made the offer taunted him trying to get him to speak, even lying to him that his wife had taken with another man. The guy looked very distressed about it but never said a word. When the deadline came the other guy finally admitted that he did not have the money to pay for the bet and he only made the bet because he was sure he would not be able to stay silent. The guy wrote him a note saying that to make sure he won the bet he had cut-off his tongue before he was put in the cage.

That was the episode "The Silence" and it wasn't his tongue he had cut out, it was the nerves to his vocal chords.
