While the coffee's perking

I will take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am AuntieEm from mid-America. Recently retired and not yet comfortable with the senior citizen tag. I have an ever increasing list of things that I'm interested in. I grow and work with gourds, I sew some, I crochet, I paint (badly), I garden some, I like taking old things and making them into something new and useful, but I'm not very good at it. I guess I'm best with dogs. They are truly my best friends. I have a very small circle of to-the-death friends. I have a keen BS radar. I am married to a retired military fella and we are both enjoying this time in our lives. We travel some and would like to do more. We have 2 adult children, one lives close and one lives far away. The dryer buzzed and the coffee is perked so off I go to get this day started. Looking forward to getting to know this forum. :)
