"Who ARE you? What is your story?"

I was too busy to answer but started wondering, What if all of YOU (on the forum) were asked,
"Who ARE you? What is your story?" and you had to answer in a sentence or two?
How would you answer that?

I’m Carol. A wife, a mother, a teacher, a Nana, an imperfect, but good hearted human being.

And here’s the thing. After Hurricane Harvey, we went to rockport. I’d ask people,(servers, clerks, perfect strangers) politely what was their Harvey story. It was amazing. And enlightening. And everyone was pleased to be asked, and listened to. On our latest cruise, there was a Q and A session with three officers on the ship. I asked them for their Covid stories. Also enlightening. Flying the crew home was not an option, so the cruise company sorted them out by nationality and sailed them home. The chef said the ships needed a skeleton crew to stay operational and, well, shipshape, so he stayed on board for an entire year. This has shown me that people always have a story to tell, and, whether they will admit it or not, love to tell it. And it’s often very interesting if you know the right question to ask.
