Who did Elvis consider the king of rock and roll?

Me-thinks Ralphy is trying to wind us up BW. One word for Elvis comes to mind "Corny".
Well I think he was an ok singer but he was no Roy. The Elvis movies were definitely corny, but In Elvis' defense he hated doing those & hated the plots.

You really need to see the error of your thinking before it is too late, Father Ralphy is available to help you...

The King would love it that virginity was being lost to his singing, not to mention girls going orgasmic at his concerts...

Music taste is utterly subjective...it's like politics and religion. Sometimes a song will be a big hit and overall consensus of a generation might agree " Hey that was really a classic tune!". For us younger boomers that might apply to "Stairway to Heaven" or Smoke on the Water". For today's youth it might be "Uptown Funk".

But really you can't argue about music being good or bad. By the time I was growing up Elvis was a bloated cartoon. Look at poor Michael Jackson...two miserable guys with so much talent. There are too many Jackson songs for me to list, He was incredible...but I do have a favorite Elvis tune

Growing up and even now Elvis and Roy are still my favorite singers. The first song I danced to with my Husband the day we met was "Running Scared". The first date I had as a teenager was going to the movies and seeing" Love Me Tender" and I cried like a baby when Elvis died in the movie. And of course I am a Johnny Mathas fan ,I still listen to all their music .
