Oh boy Bonnie-you did me in with that one! Forever Young is the song my daughter chose as the Mother/Son dance at my grandson`s wedding. Makes me cry every time!Yes, the thread can't be complete w/o Rod Stewart ..
Yes, Elvis is classic. But there is also a type of music called "classic rock" ....just like there is Disco, County, Blues, Opera, etc.I usually hear classic rock described as album rock played on FM stations from the mid sixties to eighties. Elvis is classic, but not classic rock.
Good one! He truly is great because he can sing hard rock or ballads.Another example of Robert Plant (0f Led Zeppelin) voice:
See post 19. People are giving great voices in their responses and it's most appreciatedWhat is classic rock?
I gave the answer of Art Garfunkel of Simon & Garfunkel and some may say he is technically not a Classic Rock singer and I get that. He is more of a Folk type singer, but was certainly in that Classic Rock time frame. Many would say Freddy Mercury(Queen) was the best male vocalist of the Classic Rock scene and I suppose he fits the mold for that. His voice is certainly amazing for sure and there music is more rock. What is classic rock?
