Who got their stimulus money? My daughter, son, and his GF got theirs, I didn’t get ours

I think I have to wait for the actual check. Not giving the IRS my banking info. Oh, well, such is life.

You can go to www.irs.gov to check the status of your check. A friend got his today, and said most will have thiers by Friday. I am in the same boat. I checked, and my check is set to deposit into my late husband's account, as we used that for our tax refunds. Thing is, I closed it last year, in May.
I just called my bank, and the guy said, according to info he has, if IRS attempts to deposit a check to a closed account, it will bounce back to them, and we will get a paper check.
The thing is, I am not sure how long it will take to get the paper check. My bank guy did not know either. But I read somewhere that it could be as far out as August for all to get payments.

I am lucky that while I could use the money, I will be OK with a wait. I have no dependants.

Yup, we are waiting for the paper check as well. My son said August as well. We will wait.

Me and hubs got ours already ! They are sending the money to all the people who have their income tax checks sent to their banks, first...
Then you will get yours in the mail so it maybe a while yet.. thats why its called snail mail.. lol.. It will take a few months they said, before
everyone gets their checks.. hang in there , its coming..!

It's free money from our government. It's meant to "stimulate" the economy.

Go out to dinner, spend at the restaurant, go to a movie, buy something you need. Shops and businesses are suffering greatly.

If you make 75k or under per year, you qualify for 1200.00. Pluse more if you're self-employed I think. Plus, 500. per child.

That’s excellent and a great idea if just only to boost morale but the economy could sure use a boost . People need an incentive to get out and about. Good move.

The following is from our local news . (from the IRS) ....

The checks will go out in three waves.

Most payments will go out this week, that includes social security recipients who filed tax returns and included their direct deposit information.
Look for direct deposit from the IRS treasury in your statements.

The second wave will go to social security recipients who did not file 2018 or 2019 returns and receive their benefits through direct deposit.

The final wave will happen in late April or early May, the IRS will mail paper checks to households at a rate of five million per week.
The paper checks will go to households with the lowest adjusted gross income and continue up.

Just checked and there is an "IRS TREAS 310 TAX REF" pending.... but it is not the $1600.00 that I thought the government was sending /-; And I shouldn't have a tax refund yet for 2019, since I have procrastinated filing due to the extension that was granted.... hmmmm ? Well, I just Googled and I had the figure wrong in my head. So, mine will be usable in a couple days - guess the bank doesn't trust checks from the government!

Can someone explain to all of us Non Americans exactly what a stimulus cheque is ( sorry check) 🙃

It's money that is supposed to stimulate the economy that adds to the national debt. Older seniors most likely won't be affected by how paying for the trillions added to the debt will have to be addressed.

How people use it will probably be up for discussion once some data is generated. For my wife & me we don't qualify due to income. My neighbor owes for rent, others do to. So spending at stores to boost the economy may not turn out like is hoped for.

I changed my mind, I want my money, lol, put in my banking information, so we shall see when it comes. I never get a refund, always pay because I don’t have taxes taken out of social security.

We got ours direct deposited this morning... Taxs filed with bank info.... Hell if the IRS wants your money form the bank
They will get it anyways.......BUT....
We have a seperate account for bills and online spending.... only but in the money needed...
Anything coming in.... Ebay sale, Check.... IRS deposit..... gets moved out to savings.

I'm not sure where I fit into this.

I filed/paid my income tax for 2019 and I receive SS direct deposit but I do not have my bank account on file with the IRS.

I'm curious to see if I get a direct deposit in the second wave or a paper check.

That was my situation and I decided to give the IRS my bank info so I could get my money and not wait for a paper check. Hopefully I get it in the second wave, lol, since I missed the first and no one in my family would give me theirs. Lol. We all got the max. Poor and proud of it. 🤣

If you'd prefer to get it into your bank account, all you need to do is go to the portal on irs.gov and give them your bank info.

Thanks but I would rather wait than give the IRS my checking account information.

I'm just curious to see how they choose to handle it.
Greed got the best of me, lol. I only get 800 a month social security and I have no other income.
