Who Knew? Some Fun Facts

Not exactly a fun fact but one I found very interesting.
Black bear mating season is in the spring but the cub does not begin to take form
until about November, it's held dormant until the bear is ready to go to her Den.
If she has not eaten enough prior to her Winter rest her body absorbs the cub to
nourish her body so she makes it through the cold months and she simply tries again
in the spring.

Maybe someone already wrote the following finding, but here it goes anyway.

Crows have been known to land on the backs of eagles for the purpose of biting their necks. The eagles never took any defensive action or showed any lack of composure. They just keep flying and ascending. As they arise in altitude, the air becomes thinner, which causes the crows a breathing interruption and would fall off the back of the eagle. The crow would regain self-control and fly away.

I'm 90% sure this hasn't been posted before.

In 1967, Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King covered the cost of Julia Roberts’ hospital birth. It turns out Roberts’ parents couldn’t afford the bill, and the Kings’ gesture was a heartfelt payback. Julia’s parents, who ran a theater school in Atlanta, welcomed the King children as students when they had trouble finding a place that would accept them because they were Black.
