Who really controls the world? Thought provoking.

Do you ever think of this? Who really is controlling this world? BlackRock? Vanguard? Some other financial entity? Our world leaders are just puppets but who is the puppetmaster? It would be interesting to know more than I do now. :unsure:
 

Us little ants working and paying taxes sure don't! It can boggle your mind and drive one mad if you think about it too much.

I recently watched a video about Danny Thomas' home in So-Cal. It was torn down to the ground. You could see from the video that the view was outstanding. Appears someone had the money to buy it, tear it down, just for the land. While there are people struggling with housing.

We got problems.

I agree with you that it's money controlling events and everyone's destiny but who and whose money? This is what I would like to know more about.

Per my earlier post, spend some time reading the tons of data on the web site....opensecrets.org....and you will get a pretty good idea of just who Really runs our lives....wealthy campaign donors, lobbyists, big corporations, etc., etc.
 
I think there are multiple power structures, some hidden and shadowy and some blatantly in the open like national governments.
I and everyone whom I know are basically pawns in the big picture, able to exert some control over our own destinies.......and I personally think it's wise and prudent to keep a reasonably low profile.
Of course, everyone is eventually going to be answerable to God.
Free will? A question too profound and sophisticated for me.......but I do insist on acting as if I do have free will and can control some of how my life unfolds.
 
Money.

The thing is, new money comes along now and then. And I don't mean Bitcoin or whatever, but extremely lucrative ideas, schemes, inventions and discoveries can quickly drop massive amounts of wealth in somebody's pockets.
 
Wonderful question! I would say ultimately God and the powers in the heavens.

This is incredibly planned, organized, specific to the last detail. Not even the most intricate action can be changed and the man who thinks free will towers over preset actions is not correct. However, gods and angels have powers of miracles and free will which can delay, even to other lives, specific actions and occurrences.

The quality of the vibrations of every thought, word and action produces an influence in the atmosphere and is constantly influencing every other thing. Man has free will and free choice and this intertwines with his heavenly destiny. We are the co-creators of our own lives.
Anyway, my opinion.

Mostly the rich. They control everything and make all the decisions on this planet. The rest are just various kinds of ants running around and gathering food (actually making payments on their credit cards).

I believe this is what they call Free Enterprise! The rich stay rich and the poor stay poor!

I have done IT work for major banks and insurance companies. I've also worked with major Insurance providers. If I had any idea that someone had a master plan, that destroyed the idea for me. They're all winging it. They're all making it up as they go along. Their systems and processes are debilitating, and they can't get out of their own way.

Who controls the world? No-one. There may be people who think they do, but they don't. We're all just doing what we think is right, or profitable. We don't worry about consequences, and we don't think of tomorrow. It's one big weird ride.
