Why would anyone think God controls the world? My understanding is that we were given free will, therefore the things we do here are our responsibility. There are many people in power that influence events and these groups are interconnected. They have a lot of control, but not all.

I don't believe that there's a single puppet master I believe a cabal (or an international group of cabals) control the world. I call them the Grey People because they dwell in the shade and are invisible to the naked eye. Only an impotent god would support that.

On further reflection I believe that this is a hot potato that competitors are currently fighting over.

NobodyDo you ever think of this? Who really is controlling this world? BlackRock? Vanguard? Some other financial entity? Our world leaders are just puppets but who is the puppetmaster? It would be interesting to know more than I do now.

I used to think about it back in my conspiracy days. I don't have the interest or mental energy anymore. Just the roof over my head and enough food to eat and my health. That's what I think about.
You ever try to have a conversation with someone 30+ years younger than yourself on this? Most of the time the words "Old School" "outdated" "back in your day" "that was then, this is now" are the answers you get. When we are gone all we can hope for is a "I should have listened" to be said at some point.

The whole "free will" thing is a ruse by God believers to explain why there is a difference between the ideals of the Bible and real life. IMO.
Something good happens, God. Something bad, free will. (To generalize). Free Will is the "get out of jail free" card.
I saw a video today about - of all things - cosmetic Surgery gone wrong. Three of the people I saw telling their stories, suggested God was guiding them posy surgery, since they were on the mend after things gone wrong. Talk about a day late and a dollar short.
