My reply to the topic question was "you are asking the wrong person".

Lol, reminds me of something Jeff Fox worthy once said: "men just want to see something naked and drink beer". 😅

The 'fair' sex, the 'beautiful' sex, yes, all of those girls and ladies are the most complicatedly lovely creatures on the planet.
I once had a 14 hour conversation with a very nice lady.... my part of the conversation was,"Good morning" and then, "Good night." She was lovely though. 😊

Traditionally, men are regarded by many as less complicated than women. We are hunters-gatherers. I hunt pizza and Chinese food, and gather clutters of stuff that I questionably may someday need, including duplicates just in case!

Perplexed, I once asked another guy if women came with an owner’s manual. He responded that if there was one, it would probably be written in Japanese (which neither of us spoke)… 😺

This is a loaded question as it is so easy to meander into sexist stereotypes here, which I have just done. “Lord, I apologize for that one, please be with them starving pygmies in New Guinea, Amen!” - - Larry, the Cable Guy

Well, I'm not complicated. The things I enjoy are obvious, or made obvious. :)

The complexity comes when you've got to try and understand people with different traits, wants, and needs. Especially when you cut across different cultures. You have to find someone you can jive with (boy, that ages me), and also one where you can accept their idiosyncrasies (wants, needs etc). A man/woman dynamic is always going to demand some kind of understanding and compromise. Can a woman satisfy my needs and wants? Can I understand hers?

Increasingly we've become about personal freedoms, and that has partially eroded the family unit. There are many good reasons for a woman to leave a man, but there are an equal amount of silly ones. In the UK, 42% of marriages fail - so a lot of people are having difficulties.

The woman who asked that question thinks the only difference between men and women is body parts. For example, if her man didn't mention he got a call from his brother yesterday or that he stopped at City Sports on his way home from work, she thinks he's hiding something. She thinks there's a hidden agenda if he says he's going out to get a brass replacement for the hose splitter or asks her to hand him the 5/8s wrench. Honestly, he just wants the wrench.

Yep, he just wants the wrench. 😊

I have either enjoyed or avoided the company of a number of women in my fairly lengthy life and my conclusion is that women are more complicated or complicating than men overall. Having said that, I have known many women who are amazingly focused and direct and who make delightful friends.

I think Red Green, a great Canadian thinker, said it best: Women see relationships like a garden. They want to dig down to the roots and understand what is going on down there. Men see a relationship like a new car. When they commit to having one, they expect it to run along for some time without a lot of maintainance.

Excellent analogy ;)
