Aussie has always been pronounced Ozzee so it stands to reason we come from OZ right?
It's been around a few decades, even the Poms referred to one of our PMs as the 'Lizard of Oz' back in 1992 and it was used before that.
While we're at it, why do Poms call England old Blighty? Never did look that one up.
