Why Is It?

Why is it that NASA's 2011 budget was $19 billion, and their Mars Rover can send high-resolution pictures from over 127 million miles away ...

... while AT&T's capital investments for the same period were $20 billion, and I still can't get any reception in my bathroom?

Ummm, would you believe they are marching and waving banners in the streets here because the dastardly new Govt expects everyone to pay a whole $6 for a Doctor visit? Gaaaaasp. What next? $10 a night for hospital care.???

Yep, the people on welfare and who contribute zilch, nada, zot to the Health Care budget are now howling that people still working need to pay more on their Medicare Levy to cover the costs of their visits to get scrips for their 'depression' medication which qualifies them for the dole, and a free band-aid on a blister caused by hot sand on the beach. Gimme a break!!! How good do they think it's gonna get??

Could we send a few over there to do a close and in depth study of how Health Care works in other parts of the world... pleeeeaase, can we??

They need a good clout up the ear to wake 'em up.

I really can't understand the mentality of people, i would willingly pay $6.00 for a Doctors visit and i am on a pension, you can't have everything for nothing Geez
For alls knowing they all smoke like chimneys and drink like pisspots and that $6 would go towards another fag or a beer, they continuosly go to the Doctor with all sorts of ailments due to their lifestyle and get it all for nothing while everyone else pays $65 per visit, they need to shutup and pay the money, after all what's $6.00 for heavens sake...

My medical centre for over 30 years decided last year that they'd no longer bulk bill pensioners.....:what:
It wasn't a bulk-billing clinic.
We (pensioners) now have to pay $50 or the $15 gap between that charge and the Medicare rebate.....
I usually ask my GP if she'll bulk bill me and so far she hasn't refused....of course, wouldn't you know,
she's leaving to practice in Melbourne soon so I don't know how much I'll have to pay then.....
I'd be willing to pay $6, that wouldn't bother me at all.:calm:
There are 8 doctors and apparently it's up to each individual one to decide whether they'll bulk bill or not.
The one my hubby goes to there won't bulk bill him though.:(

I went pale and thought I'd need an ambulance when I went to pay the last bill for my visit and was presented with a sheet of paper with a row of zeros on it! "Just sign here, Doctor will bulk bill you." Thank You SANTA Claus! What a blissful rort! I don't even qualify, he must be feeling guilty he can't do a bloody thing for me except write a scrip.

I haven't been bulk billed since the one in Singo developed a conscious about hitting me up for $55 every second day to have an MRSA infection tended to! That was a one off though, he reverted back real fast when the visitation gaps lengthened.

Six bucks as opposed to the usual 60 + now?? Bring it on.

Geeze, you folks are obsessed with these medical plans! I guess the bingo games and knitting aren't enough to challenge you anymore, huh? :devilish:
