What I see happening, is one person will start a thread, especially with a news event, and someone else will come in and post a NEW thread before checking if there is already one started.

Wrong. IMO. It should have been a message to prosecution not to be sloppy and for racist cops not to jump fences, possibly to plant stuff. It put the nail in the coffin of SWATCH SANDWICH. Remember that one?
 
Prosecutors invent evidence and hide evidence all the time. Doesn't matter what shade of skin the target has.

I think there would have been riots. There were people just waiting for the chance to retaliate and violently. The verdict was made primarily just to keep the peace.

I dunno about the gloves. All anyone has to do is spread out your hand as you try to put them on to give the appearance of gloves being too small. I think it was that recording of Mark Fuhrman's racist rant that did the prosecution's case in.

I did check Marie, my post was aimed at the media frenzy,
why are they spending so much air time on it, especially
over here, not at anything else, we have had some great
sportsmen who have died recently and they get a two inch
box usually, though some football players get more, but
nothing like we are seeing about OJ.

When I saw that OJ died, I thought could for him, what a tumultuous existence, RIP. I wouldn't click on the announcement because to me it was media click bait, to bring back all the crap we endured over the trial. I boycotted that thread. When I saw your take on it, it made sense to me. You could of introduced this on the original thread, but that would of derailed the memorial, which probably happened anyway ( I am not checking ). Good call IMO. :)

As far as posting two or more current news threads, it happens occasionally. It is just the nature of getting the important news out, and missing that someone else beat you to it. I guess we could insist that the duplicate be deleted by the duplicator, but we would probably need a poll vote, and we are all to old to care THAT much. :)

Glad you asked. Prosecution had this boring moron trying to explain DNA, which was a new concept at the time. This guy droned on and on for days, with his charts and other items he had for display. He summed up by saying: "We put what has DNA between two slides--a swatch sandwich, if you will" totally blowing the case for DNA and sounding like an idiot.

When he said "Swatch Sandwich" I moaned to my cat "I can't stand this anymore, what should I do?" and he answered "Take a nap."

I do not remember Ms Clark's hair, but I do remember the media circus.
 
Because he's a celebrity attached to one of the biggest mysteries (or abuses of justice) the US has ever known.

It sells copy, and it attracts eyes.
