I'm familiar with his youtube instructional videos.
He does a nice job explaining progressions, scale work, etc. and I've gotten some good
ideas about what to include in a piece.
As far as this video, I agree with his take on why new music isn't selling like the old stuff.
My take is that a lot of new artist rely on Technology first, without doing the hard work of understanding how parts
of songs fit together.
There is a reason for the 'Catalog Wars' going on with the major labels, buying up the 'old Artist' music at top dollar.
