Why/when did you stop talking to an inanimate doll, teddy bear, etc.

When I was a young girl, I always asked Santa for a beautiful Bride Doll. Every Christmas I never received one. I told this story to my new husband and low and behold, our first Christmas together, he bought me a beautiful Bride Doll. When I came home from work, there she was, sitting on our double bed. I almost cried. He too got a special present for Christmas that night.

I didn't.
I rescued a stuffed tiger from a trash can display at a woman's yard sale 10 or so years ago and bought him for 25 cents. I had a feeling he wouldn't have had a bright future without me. He's my mascot now. I take him lots of places and we talk all the time. We even snuggle. BF is jealous. Too bad. :ROFLMAO:
My aunt had a stuffed tiger. When she died, I adopted him, and he came to live with me. He resides on my couch; he's neat, quiet, and a very attentive listener. 😊

there's a great episode in doc martin - where he has to go out into the wilds of the countryside to assess a ranger who seems to be going nuts - he has been reported as talking to a large rabbit or kangaroo and inviting him in for a meal - a very funny episode worth trackin down

I had a teddy bear I called Friend Bear. On the drive back home from Disneyland I was shocked to realize FB was missing!

My parents said he was probably left at the motel. They refused to go back (guess about 100 miles) to the motel. When we got home they called the motel and told me FB was not left there.

To this day I suspect they intentionally decided it was time for me to stop talking to him.
Same here. One day my "Tee-you bear" just disappeared. A few years later I saw it in my mom's closet.
