Yeah, I've had worse colds than my Covid infection too Doug.I take Vitamin C and Zinc on a daily basis. If I feel a cold coming on I take Cold-Eze which is really just more Zinc. Knock on wood... I haven't had a cold since I retired over 3 years ago because I'm not around crowds that much. I have had Covid, but it was milder than a cold.
Strawberries have lots of vitamin c if you like those.About a year ago, I started buying oranges again. After the regular ones started being tasteless, I bought mandarin oranges, particularly Halos when they were on sale. It's always a crap shoot with fresh fruit. The last bag of mandarins I bought were a disappointment. Most of what I was buying just didn't taste as I think they should. Eventually that became the case with bananas too, my favorite fruit. So I don't bother with fresh fruit anymore. My son did bring home some apples from an apple picking excursion at an apple farm. Most of those actually tasted like apples!
Thank you Chic. Not crazy about those, plus they are consistently on the Dirty Dozen lists.Strawberries have lots of vitamin c if you like those.
I'm feeling back to normal. How are you feeling @Nathan -
we need you in the big game tomorrow!
That was the big game, news on the vine is no one carves a better turkey.I'm feeling back to normal.
What game? Sorry I didn't made it, was busy carving & eating turkey!![]()
Take good care of yourself @Nathan.I hope I'm not having another go-round of what I had a month ago, but for the last 36 hours I've had a 'scrappy' throat...not sore, just kind of full of junk.
It just occurred to me, it was just before T'giving that I got sick last time, what does that mean?
Well, I'm laying low this weekend and just keeping pumped with vitamins and cold meds just in case.

You are so right with 'fresh fruit being a crap shoot'. I've got a cantelope in the fridge like that. I'm going to have to force myself to eat it just so I didn't waste the money. I wonder if fruit like that is as nutritious as the ones that taste yummy? Anyone know? Anyway, that's one of the reasons I don't buy a lot of fruit. Been disappointed too many times.About a year ago, I started buying oranges again.
