Will anyone be sorry to see summer end, besides me?

I wear t shirts and shorts year round here in Houston unless I am leaving the house. Then its nicer t shirts and longer pants. Will not miss the triple temps and humidity if it EVER gets here. Would love to live some where there is 4 seasons. Of course I would have to invest in a wardrobe to match.

I love this time of year. I know it's not popular as autumn approaches and many look forward to foliage and holidays, Halloween and T'day and Santa, football and hockey, but I love flowers, the beach, and warmth. Mostly, I love no snow to shovel or ice to scrape. Just sayin'

I agree!

Fall is okay, but not what comes after it.

LOL! Summer can't end soon enough, for me! Today's high>100F!!! Texas will, eventually, become a desert, as the drought cycles get longer, and push desert conditions up and down the I-35 corridor. When water shortages start occurring, as they definitely will, along with concomitant power outages, the whole state will take on the look, feel and conditions of our neighbor to the south, complete with a cultural shift that will be indistinguishable from that neighbor. The economy will also tank. A mass exodus of the "Haves" should begin sometime in the next five to twenty years. I'm hoping to lead the pack, if I can decide where I'm bound.

Sorry?! Not me! This year was a record-breaking scorcher. It's supposed to go up to 97 in a couple of days, then it will finally cool off. And tomorrow is October! Can't end too soon for me!

Not me,not this year.

I'm so sick of the heat and it hasn't rained on us in a month.

Our pond is way way down. It's gonna cost a fortune to pump water in it.

I know the power company is very happy we are all still running A/C and it will go straight to heat.

Since we've had "summer" since April, and the temps are still in the 90's, I'll be happy to say "so long, Summer!" I'm tired of my summer clothes, and I'd like to wear some long pants for a change. And a sweater would be nice. Probably not happening for at least another month. Sigh.

Your uncontrollable optimism overwhelms me.
