Will we be allowed to discuss the Trump trial here?

I started my Internet forum adventure in a forum devoted to retirement, soc.retirement, and watched it literally destroyed by politics. The managers of this forum are very wise to prohibit political discussion, which discussion of the Trump trial would likely descend into.

Not that..it is just that since Matrix has already said he will not allow the trial to be discussed, which was the OPs question, this thread is now moot

This is a world wide forum. The discussion of our political leaders should be something we can manage as responsible adults. Its unfortunate that we can't.

I’m happy not to have a polarizing Trump centered discussion here.

On the other hand I think a discussion articulating defining characteristics of conservatism and progressive/liberalism along with the strengths and weaknesses of each perspective would be interesting. I find I’m not narrowly one thing or the other.
