I've never experienced a ghost, as in seen one physically, but I've spoken with a number of others that claim they have.Oh, Another one: Back when Iwas going with this handsome guy, he cheated on me and we broke up. I was hurting so bad. I was in my little office cubical trying not to cry.
I felt this hand on my shoulder and thought it was one of the girls trying to make me feel better, because I told a few ladies what happened.
I turned around to say "Thank you" and saw the top 3/4 of a pretty lady with a 1930's hair style and a green dress with pink and yellow flowers (like a flour sack print) The sleeves gathered at the shoulder and going not all the way to the elbow. The cotton dress was from the 1930's.
She had a tiny black belt around the waist and DISAPPEARED before my eyes! I didn't notice her feet.
i found out later her name was Paula. She was a spirit around me, filled with compassion!
She had completely materialized .
No, I don't drink or take drugs. This was a true happening.
I don't know why Marg! But the clothing and hair style was ABSOLUTELY from the 1930's. No mistaking that!I've never experienced a ghost, as in seen one physically, but I've spoken with a number of others that claim they have.
I think it would freak me out way too bad.
Isn't it strange that the ghost you seen was from the 1930's, Gaer.
I'm thinking why the 30's, and not the 60's? Or 50's?
You take it all in stride so well, Gaer, I admire you.I don't know why Marg! But the clothing and hair style was ABSOLUTELY from the 1930's. No mistaking that!
She was not an angel. She was a ghost! her hand on my shoulder was as if it were a real person!
I may have already posted about this but I've also had an encounter with a cat. My cat used to curl up behind my knees in bed every night. After she died, one night I went to bed, was still wide awake, and felt my cat walk over my legs and curl up behind my knees. For some reason it didn't bother or scare me and I didn't want to disturb her so I didn't move an inch. I fell asleep and it never happened again.Besides my posts #2 and #51, these are the only other ghostly-type encounters I've experienced. After our cat Audra died (over 25 years ago), I used to think I saw her, just out of the corner of my eye. It was like a small shadow like figure about the size of a cat, walking the floor. It would usually be coming out of the apartment hallway into the living room or headed to the adjacent kitchen. I once read that something like that could be a pet visitation. A few times I also felt like something had jumped on my bed (like she used to do). I shrugged it off as possibly being a dream though.
Love your story Caroln. I imagine it was comforting that she was still there will you. Too bad it only happened that one time.I may have already posted about this but I've also had an encounter with a cat. My cat used to curl up behind my knees in bed every night. Oh! How wonderful you were aware that she came to see you! She's in such bliss right now and came to tell you she loves you!I was sleeping and awaken by a force that felt close and loving. It pulled me out of bed and on a walk to my front door. It was cheerful in nature and made me feel something but I wasn't sure what.
A day later I got a call from my father saying my younger sister had died. To this day I believe her spirit came to me to say goodbye and she was the force that pulled me from bed to my front door.
That means a lot to me Gaer coming from you. It was about 38 years ago but I miss her still.Oh! How wonderful you were aware that she came to see you! She's in such bliss right now and came to tell you she loves you!
Sorry for your loss and that you won't see her for awhile but that was a lovely story!
Ruthanne, You have been through SO MUCH in your life! I'm proud of your strength to endure all this!
